Kohiki is a type of tableware that is characterized by its beautiful and delicate texture. Konahiki is a technique in which ash, iron, or other powder is sprayed onto a white glaze and then fired, and the work is carefully finished by hand.

This technique creates subtle patterns on the surface of the tableware, allowing you to enjoy its natural texture.
Another attractive feature is that the more you use it, the more its texture increases, and the more it ages, the more flavorful it becomes.

*About handling of Kohiki

``Konahiki'' is made by applying white clay to a base of red or black clay, coating it with a transparent glaze, and firing it.
Although it has a white appearance, even if it is the same powder, the impression will be different depending on the type of base material and the way the makeup soil is applied.

Konahiki is one of our most popular products because of its unique and gentle texture.

*Konahiki vessels must be handled with care.

Since it has two layers, the base material and the clay, it is highly water-absorbing, and due to its whiteness and manufacturing method, it is prone to dirt, stains, and chipping.
Please handle with care.

Spot-like stains may appear when soaked in water, but will disappear when dry.

Even with water leak prevention treatment, it is not possible to completely prevent dirt and stains.
If you use it for a long time, the effect will fade, so please perform the sealing process again.
